We proudly embrace a healthy work-life balance at Cadwyn. To celebrate the National Work-Life Week 2018 we’d like to share how our flexible working approach makes a difference to our staff.
Flexible working can increase staff motivation, promote work-life balance, reduce employee stress and improve performance and productivity. Our staff benefit from flexible working hours, where they can vary work patterns in view of workload and personal needs and preferences. Cadwyn also support staff with a variety of other different types of flexible working, including:-
- Part Time hours
- Compressed Hours
- Job Share
- Time off in lieu
- Home working
- Shift swapping
- Staggered hours
- Sabbatical/Career break
Here’s what our staff said:
“I don’t know I would have managed without flexible working – it has given me the ability to balance my home life whilst still being able to work full-time hours. Definitely the benefit I value the most.”
“Flexible working combined with the ability to work outside of the office really helps with my work life balance. It allows me to be more productive, I don’t waste time stuck in unnecessary traffic and I get to spend more time with my family. It really is a lifesaver with 2 young children and very appreciated.”
“I love that I can catch the 5 pm gym class, which is less crowded and means I’m free for the evening from 6 pm.”
“Flexible working is probably the benefit I hold in the highest regard, I have a flexible working arrangement where I take 2 days a month off to cover childcare. I know how lucky I am when I talk to my friends who don’t have this benefit.”
“I work compressed hours so that I can take one day off a week to look after the kids. Childcare is so expensive! Plus I love having that extra day with them.”
“I work routine hours consistently, but it really helps me to know that if something personal crops up during a week, I can usually manage my time to accommodate it. I really value being able to be honest and not have to pretend.”
“Flexible working is a huge benefit for me! It means I get to be about more for my 6 and 7-year-old daughters, not just for the big stuff that really matters to them like school concerts, but for the small stuff too like mealtimes and doing homework. Being able to work slightly outside of the usual 9-5 also means I can dodge some of the commuting crush getting in and out of town, which vastly improves my mental health.”
