Nightingale House, the family hostel that is managed by Cadwyn, has received a donation of laptops and tablets from the local Tesco store at Pengam Green.
After contacting a number of companies to ask for their assistance in providing the equipment, Weekend Activities Coordinator, Daniel Mulqueen, received a response from Tesco store Manager, Darren Walsh.
“Darren could see how hugely beneficial this equipment would be to our residents, and was eager to help” explains Daniel.
As a result, the store donated two tablets and a laptop to Nightingale House.
“We are extremely grateful for the donation which will be a massive help to our residents,” said Daniel. “Access to computers and the internet is sometimes taken for granted. This donation will ensure our residents receive the opportunity to continue to build on their skills and interests, access the jobs market, help to reconnect with family and friends and even allow the children to complete their homework and have some down time. Everyone here would like to say a big thank you to Darren and the staff at Tesco, Pengam Green for all their help.”
