As of 1st November 2024, Cadwyn Housing Association has officially joined the Cadarn Housing Group as a sister organisation to Newydd Housing Association.

Both Newydd and Cadwyn now operate as subsidiaries within the Cadarn Housing Group, marking a significant milestone in Cadarn Group’s history as it celebrates its 50th birthday and a new era of collaboration.

By joining Cadarn, we can share resources and skills and become more efficient, which would release money to invest in our homes and developing services. Adding Cadwyn as a new member of the Cadarn Group will also increase the financial resilience of both organisations and enhance our ability to carry on providing affordable homes, despite this challenging external environment.

We have looked carefully at the consequences of this and, after conclusive due diligence, we’re confident that there will be no negative impact to residents or either Housing Association involved.

Yes, your landlord will remain the same as both Cadwyn and Newydd will continue to operate as separate legal entities – it’s just that Cadwyn has become a member of the Cadarn Group. The conditions of your tenancy or lease would not change as a result of the new structure, and you have the same level of rights and protection that you’ve always had.

No, the new structure doesn’t affect your rent or service charge. We will continue to review charges every year, as we do at the moment, in line with your current tenancy agreement or lease.

There will be no change and you will continue to pay as you do now.

No change will occur as a result of Cadwyn joining the Cadarn Group. However, if after integration of Cadwyn into the Group we are able to make efficiencies for example, we will let you know.

You can call our main customer service line on 029 2049 8898 or email info@cadwyn.co.uk. Unless notified of any change, your Rent and Neighbourhood Officers will also remain the same and you can continue to contact them.
